Screening in the field, prioritisation based on measurement.

We work so that you can determine which sample is directed to further examination while still in the field.

Implementation

Beevex in food inspection.

A screening step conducted in the field and placed on record. Which sample is directed to further examination first is determined by the result produced in the field. The decision is retained together with its date and image data, and because results from different inspectors are produced in the same form, they can be assessed together.

Inspection capacity is constrained. Because it is not possible to examine every sample to the same depth, prioritisation is in most cases not based on measurement.

Sample volume grows faster than the inspection time allocated to it, and further examination is costly and slow to return a result. The record of a decision made in the field has to be located afterwards, and findings from different inspectors cannot be compared with one another.

Risks

Risks in food inspection.

Constrained capacity

As sample numbers rise, the time allocated to each sample inevitably falls.

A lengthening queue

The result for a sample directed to further examination may fall beyond the date the decision is required.

Consistency

The same finding must be recorded in the same form by every inspector; records kept in different forms cannot be assessed together.

Regulation

Regulations relevant to traceability.

TR

Law No. 5996 on Veterinary Services, Plant Health, Food and Feed

Sets the framework in Turkey for official controls across the food chain, the obligations of food business operators and administrative sanctions. Inspections of honey are carried out under this law and the regulations based on it.

EU

FAQ

Questions about food inspection

Does a Beevex result replace official analysis?

No. Beevex provides screening in the field; which sample goes to further examination first is decided from that result. The final decision is made by further examination.

Can results from different inspectors be compared?

Yes. The application steps are standardised and the result is independent of the operator, so findings from different inspectors are recorded in the same form.
